Our Story
Established
Aiken Saber Academy was founded by Tony Negron and Trey Jones. They shared a love for Star Wars and noted that groups were springing up aroung the world that dueled with lightsabers. Tony also known as Commnder had some experience with fencing. So the two met and dueled in a city park and found that fighting with lightsabers was fun. Afterwards they decided to develop a school devoted to lightsaber combat.
Location
In 2018, founders Commander and Trey Jones made a proposal and then did a demonstration for the Director of Operations for the Odell Weeks Activity Center in Aiken, South Carolina. Aiken Saber Academy was accepted as a recreational program for the city and allowed to use a large multipurpose room every Friday for the school. Since that time, Aiken Saber Academy has taught students of all ages from teen to senior adults.

Dedicated to Lightsaber Combat
Aiken Saber Academy is a rare school. Dedicated to lightsaber combat training, it is one of the few of the schools of its kind in the United States. Though an independent school with its own lightsaber combat system, Aiken Saber Academy has develped strong relationships with lightsaber leagues, other schools and organization around the world.
2019
Unique Fighting System
Aiken Saber Academy developed the Saber Integrated Training System (SITS) as its primary means of instruction for lightsaber combat training and student advancement. SITS is a derivative fighting system promoting movement, timing and style while still adhering to basic bladed weapon techniques.
